Magazine Redesign (Fall 2022)
This was another project assigned by my Editorial Design class at George Mason University (Fall 2022). Our class was tasked with redesigning an existing magazine by changing its logo and completely reorganizing the page layout inside. The content of the articles from the original magazine were to be kept intact, but the manner in which they were presented would need to be changed so as to appear more professional.
My project features a redesign of the October 2022 edition of Northern Virginia, a monthly publication that covers news in the Northern Virginia area. I redesigned the logo by changing the typeface from its original sans-serif font to a more decorative serif font and then included a cardinal (the state bird of Virginia) in the corner to add more visual flare and balance. For each section, I tried to use more colored bars (both red and blue) to help important information such as article titles and headers stand out more against the main body type.

Fall Events Calendar (Fall 2022)
This was another project assigned by my Editorial Design class at George Mason University (Fall 2022).  Here, we were tasked with redesigning the Events Calendar for the Kennedy Center's upcoming Fall Season. The calendar would be printed out on a single paper and then folded into a brochure that could be handed out.
For my calendar I incorporated the colors of red, orange, teal, and violet since those were colors that were being associated with the Kennedy Center’s branding at the time. As the brochure would be divided into sections based on the genre of the performance (Comedy, Music, etc.), I chose to have each section emphasize at least one performance per genre so that I would have room for the rest of the type. I gave each of these images a colored silhouette so that they would better stand out against the background. The "Dance" and "Comedy" sections each have two images respectively so as to eliminate unnecessary blank space on their respective pages.

Classical Book Design (Fall 2022)
This was my first project assigned by my Editorial Design class at George Mason University (Fall 2022). Here, we were tasked with taking an pre-existing classical book where we would redesign it’s cover and rearrange a select number of pages from it (i.e., Table of Contents, Title Page, portions of the book, etc.).
My book project is a redesign of Bram Stoker's classic story Dracula. Aside from basic organization of text, I also created my own illustrations to accompany both the cover of the book and the chapter sections.
