Poster & T-Shirt - Senior Project (Fall 2023)
These 2 projects were individual parts of my larger Senior Project (Fall 2023).  Shown here are the official poster and t-shirt that would be used to market the main animated short that serves as the project's centerpiece (see Animations).  I designed the poster to show the Artist falling down a chasm that is lined with variations of the Artist drawn in different visual styles that appear in the short.  This would also influence the design of the Blu-Ray cover (see Package Design).  I was trying to mimic the style of older movie posters when designing the composition, hence the gap in between the sides of the main image and the edge of the paper (older posters were often designed like that).  I think the type near the bottom is a little compressed as a result of adjusting the main illustration, but it is still readable on the final printed version I turned in for grading.
The t-shirt, meanwhile, was designed to show the Artist with each of her body parts drawn in a different visual style from the short.  I had trouble trying to get the Artist to stand out against the gray shirt, so I included the yellow outline as a means to avail that issue.  The color was also meant to relate to the Spirit character who also appears in the short (the outline is the same color as him).  Other than that, I was always having difficulties trying to make the overall design visually appealing, but I think it works for now.

Meridian High School Design Work
I occasionally do freelance work for the Mustang Athletic Boosters Association at Meridian High School (Falls Church, VA). This organization is responsible for managing and supporting the athletic teams at the high school (i.e. football, basketball, etc.). I help out primarily by editing product photos for their website, though I also help with editing/creating promotional material, designing logos for products/services and other tasks.

Mustang Athletic Boosters Logo (2023)

Programs used: Adobe Illustrator

8.5 x 8.5 Inches

This was a new logo for the Boosters organization as a whole that is still used today.  The "M" logo in the center was a pre-existing asset I utilized for the final design.

Game Tonight! Yard Sign Redesign (2023)

Programs used: Adobe InDesign

24 x 18 Inches

This was a "Game Tonight!" yard sign I edited for the school.  At the time, the school had changed its name from George Mason High School to the current Meridian High School, so the existing merchandise needed to be altered to reflect the changes.  These included some of the taglines and the website link on the bottom of the page.

Mt. Carmel Girl's Soccer Team T-shirt Logos (2021-2022)
I was commissioned to do this project by the coach at Mt. Carmel High School (San Diego, California) at the time. For this project, I was tasked with designing T-shirt logos for the girl's soccer team's 2021 and 2022 seasons respectively. The stipulations for the branding were that the new designs had to be visible on both a red and gray shirt while also boasting the school's mascot (the titular Sun Devil).  Each logo was designed in Adobe Illustrator.

Laundry Station Digital Ad Concept (2019)

Programs Used: Adobe Illustrator

11 x 8.5 Inches

This digital ad was designed for Laundry Station, a local laundromat in Arlington, VA. To emphasize Laundry Station's primary service as a laundromat, I took their existing logo (a black circle with bubbles) and modified it to resemble a washing machine door. To give the piece more visual balance, I wrapped the company's name around both the top and bottom of the logo while placing their contact information in the bottom left and right corners.

Covering the Corridor Web Icon (2019)

Programs Used: Adobe Illustrator

8.5 x 8.5 Inches

For this project. I was tasked with designing a web icon for the digital news publication Covering the Corridor. This icon would appear in the tab bar when you opened up the web site. I had done several variations of the logo: all of which emphasized roads and highways so that it would visually compliment the publication's name.  The road sign with the number "1" was chosen since it was the most simple and easy to read at a smaller size compared to other variations.

George Mason High School 2019 School Yearbook
These ads were among my first professional design commissions. In 2019, during my senior year at George Mason High School (now Meridian High School, Falls Church, VA), I was assigned by the yearbook committee to design print advertisements for two of our sponsors. These sponsors were Zinga! Frozen Yogurt (who I was working a part-time job for at the time) and Brown's Hardware. For the Zinga! ad, I created a cup of frozen yogurt and added the business' name, location, and other promotional deals on the side. I was encouraged to use a more hand-drawn style of typeface so as to appeal to a more family-friendly audience. For the Brown's Hardware ad, I primarily focused on recreating the company's stylized logo type in Adobe Illustrator and then added the remaining information below it.  Both of these ads are featured in the 2019 yearbook for the high school. Both of these Ads were created in Adobe Illustrator.
